To succeed in the snow plowing industry, you need to invest in the right equipment. Investing in the right equipment can make or break your business.

The first item you need is a truck that can handle carrying around a snow plow. It needs to have a reliable and strong engine that can handle the additional pressure from carrying around a plow and pushing snow.  Look for adjustable suspension will allow you to adjust the height of your truck. You can reach out to the businesses and individuals who you worked with in your other business and see if they are interested in the new services your company is offering. 

You should also figure out if you want to work primarily with residential customers or business customers. Once you know if you want to focus more on residential or business customers, start cold-calling businesses in the area or sending information flyers to residents in the area, and start to build a list of contracts for the winter.
